Update of the week
Framework to find your WHY
I recently had the opportunity to host a couple of sessions on ‘Find Your WHY’, inspired by Simon Sinek. I prepared a presentation and a video that explains the various frameworks - exercises of sorts - that one can use to discover one’s WHY (or purpose/ vision/ goal).
Video of the week
Using the Heisenberg’s Principle to break/ make Habits
“What you do is you merely start counting the cookies you eat every day but don't try to do anything about it,” says Prof. David R.Hawkins.
"Change happens through observation." This is a philosophy you don’t hear commonly around the habit hacking circle. On the contrary, conscious effort and strategic planning is touted as pathways for success.
But, Prof Hawkings suggests that by virtue of intention, the awareness itself, effortlessly, begins the diminishing you effect of your bad habit.
“So what you've done is finesse the power of the field. Instead of relying on the ego, let the field do it.”
Using this concept, I have been ‘tracking’ a few of my habits, for the past month. Tracking may not be an appropriate word. Observation would suit better.
As suggested by Prof. Hawkins, I purposefully didn’t held myself responsible for the success of the habit thus done. I was simply noticing it.
I highly recommend trying this method out for yourself.
Just notice. Sans efforts.
Article of the week
Teach your children No-Code, not yet another programming language
“No Code platforms… give product makers a graphical user interface using which they can make applications. Think of it as Lego blocks…
The way things are trending, the next billion-dollar company might be a No Code app built by a teenager.”
This is the only article I found written from an Indian perspective, highlighting the recent trends in teaching kids to code. It captures beautifully what, we at Aurasky Academy, are aiming to accomplish.
Note: Instead of giving the direct link to the article, I’m sharing my Notion page where I’ve stored the article, were I’ve progressively summarized the content, highlighting key points as per my musings. The page has the link to the original article as well. Hope you like it.
Question of the week
Does ‘no-code’ means end of coding?
Definitely not. All the no-code tools are developed with coding underneath. These tools haven’t actually eliminated the use of coding. They have simply made use of tools visually, without the need to code. Consider the analogy of building a bridge. In older days, we were building it brick by brick, or stone by stone. But with the advancement with construction technologies, prefabricated blocks makes it easier to build bigger and bigger bridges and structures, faster and faster.
Everyweek, I will try to address at least one question regarding no-code from my readers, subscribers, students & the like. So, if you have a question, send it across. I will try my best to answer it.
